I was in a collision, and my vehicle is no longer drivable. What should I do?
Contact Scott Auto Body and let us handle this matter for you. We are well equipped to fulfill any towing needs for your vehicle, handling your automotive investment with our signature kid-glove care. Our professionally trained and certified drivers provide full-service towing and are knowledgeable about the proper techniques to tow luxury and high-performance vehicles.
Do I need to make an appointment to obtain an estimate?
While appointments are reccomended, no appointment is necessary. You are welcome to drive your vehicle to one of our three convenient locations around the Charlotte, NC area, or you can contact us to arrange for towing your vehicle, if you prefer. Our hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
How long does the typical estimate take?
We don't want to provide you with a “guess-timate” – we provide you with thorough and accurate professional estimates, completed as expeditiously as possible for your convenience.
When will the repair work begin on my vehicle?
As soon as we obtain approval from you, or in cases of insurance involvement, you and your insurance company, we will begin the repair process. The accurate repair of any frame and body damage, extensive or minimal, is essential to the continued safety and performance of your vehicle. Do I have a choice in where my vehicle is repaired?
Of course you have a choice, and relying on the experts at Scott Auto Body to restore your vehicle to its pre-incident condition will be the best choice you've ever made.
Do you work with my insurance company?
Our experienced staff is eager is assist you in all aspects of your vehicle repair, including working directly with your insurance company to process your claim, with the minimal amount of hassle for you. We have established good relationships with an array of qualified insurance companies.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept a variety of forms of payment, including cash, approved checks, Visa and MasterCard. We do not accept American Express or Discover.
What happens when my vehicle is towed to Scott Auto Body?
When we receive your vehicle, we inspect it to create a cost estimate for the vehicle's repairs or servicing. Once the estimate is complete, either you approve it, or if insurance is involved, your insurance company reviews it and determines if the vehicle's repair will be covered by the vehicle owner's policy. Next, you authorize the repairs outlined in the estimate and service plan. Then, the repair process begins.
If my car has sustained frame damage, can it be repaired?
Yes! At Scott Auto Body, our highly sophisticated equipment enables us to restore your vehicle frame and body to manufacturer specifications – or in many cases, improve upon the factory standards. We renew the structural integrity and maneuverability of your vehicle, helping to preserve your automotive investment.
Can you match my existing paint color exactly?
Yes, we can. We pride ourselves in our ability to match factory finishes. From complete, personalized paint jobs to touch-up work, the experts at Scott Auto Body are certified in the latest color-matching techniques, using state-of-the-art painting booth system and the latest computer technology to ensure you receive the right color, texture, gloss and long-lasting finish for your vehicle.
Do you offer car rentals to customers?
Yes. At Scott Auto Body, we partner with Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Hertz, Audi, and Jaguar to arrange a rental car for you for the duration of your car service, using your insurance company's policies as guidelines. These rental car companies will pick up and drop off directly at either Scott Auto Body location for your convenience. We also offer complimentary shuttle service to aid you in your transportation.
